FOXVOX is a firefox add-ons to listen the text you seen on webpages. Firefox will speak you any text you highlighted by selecting with mouse. This add-ons (FOXVOX) will create audio books in mp3 and wav formats. 

So you can easily turn your blogs, websites and articles into a audio file. FOXVOX can help you to listen  email, articles, blogs and  ebooks while you are busy with others thing in the time of surfing. You can stop listening easily when you want.

You do not need  to install any other software into your computer except installing a known operating system like windows, Linux or Ubuntu. Firefox FOXVOX can speak in English. You can also install other language if you use pro version of this add-ons (wordit.com). 

How to use:

You have to select the text or articles on the webpage what you want to listen from your browser with your mouse. Then you have to right click on your mouse and select FOXVOX. Then you will see Speak Selected Text. Click on the Speak Selected text to listen. Just below the Speak selected text you can see stop speech. Click on the Stop speech to stop listening what you are listening.

You can use shorcut key of your keyboard: Press either F9 or F12 to start speech and press Shift+F9 or Shift+F12 to stop speech.

Remember the followings:

1) Windows User: If you can not listen the speech you selected text, you make sure that your Antivirus or Firewall is not blocking the visual basic scripts: speaknow.vbs and stopspeak.vbs.

2) The error saying firefox can not install an extension. This is not a problem of your browser or this add-on. It is your cookie setting that prevent to install this add-on.

So if you can not listen solve this issues and finally you can listen what you want.
